Validating an Element

During a recording you can add a Validate using the Toolbar. Click on the Validate button to start the Validate process.

After you click on Validate the Recorder will change the Toolbar title to Selecting and if you hover any element the higlighter will change its color and style.

Validate by Property

When you want to validate a Control's property, you may want to use the Validate property this will show the following:

• The properties of the Control: a combo box with all the properties that the Recorder provides.

• Kind of validate: another combo box to select the validate that you want to do. E.g: Equal, NotEqual, Greater, Contains...

• The expected value: a text input which in some cases is filled with the current value of the control, but you can write your own expected.

Validate by Image

When you want to validate a Control's looks, you may want to use the Validate image this will show you an image of the selected element.

We recommend you to use theValidate property to validate instead of the image.

The Validate image could have a margin of error between different displays, and we recommend to use only when a Validate property can't satisfy the validation.

After the selected validate, just click on the Add Validation button and your validate will be a new step.
